These vintage papier-mache buckets are wonderful decorative vessels following in a tradition that has been passed down through many generations. The art of Papier-mache started in China around 200AD, not long after they learned how to make paper. Mixing paper with an adhesive, they employed the technique to make items such as warrior helmets and ceremonial masks and hundreds of years later, pots such as these.
Each bucket is hand crafted and the colour, style and shape may vary. Please look at the 2nd image for reference.
Only 1 piece remaining at our Sydney head office in Alexandria. Each item is unique, with only one available. Online stock may appear as unavailable—please contact us to secure it.
